Slipknot, Discografia

Slipknot (también llamada SlipKnot) es una banda de nu metal formada en 1995 en Des Moines, Iowa. Desde el año 1999, mantiene su formación después de diversos cambios en la misma. Sus integrantes son Chris Fehn, Corey Taylor, Craig Jones, James Root, Joey Jordison, Mick Thompson, Paul Gray, Shawn Crahan y Sid Wilson; todos ellos utilizan máscaras.

Slipknot utiliza dos tipos de guitarra (principal y rítmica), bajo, dos percusionistas, además de una única batería, e instrumentos electrónicos como samplers o mesas de mezclas. El sonido de la banda ha sido descrito como “una máquina trilladora devorando un grupo de tambores militares”. El vocalista Corey Taylor también incorpora diversos estilos vocales, como por ejemplo la voz gutural, el canto melódico y el rapeo, mientras que las letras en general tienen un tono agresivo. Las influencias de la banda incluyen, entre otros géneros, el death metal, el thrash metal, el blues y el rap.

Los inicios de Slipknot se remontan al año 1992. La banda sufrió muchos cambios en su formación antes del lanzamiento de su existoso debut homónimo en 1999. Han publicado otros dos álbumes, Iowa y Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses. Se espera el lanzamiento de un cuarto álbum titulado All Hope Is Gone en el 2008.

In Flames, Discografia

Bueno, pues vamos con otra discografía, esta vez le toca a In Flames.

In Flames es una banda de Melodic Death Metal procedente de Gotenburgo, Suecia. Es considerada la primera banda de dicho estilo, junto con Dark Tranquility (en la que también estuvo Anders Friden) y At The Gates. Recientemente han ido cambiando su estilo a unas ramas más melódicas y comerciales, con tendencias de Nü-metal, aunque, personalmente el estilo que tiene esta banda es único. Está formada por el batería Daniel Svensson, el bajista Peter Iwers, los guitarristas Jesper Strömblad y Björn Gelotte y por el vocalista Anders Fridén.

Hasta la fecha tienen 9 discos de estudio, y dos en directo, uno de los cuales (Used And Abused: In Live We Trust) también salió en DVD, y lo podeís encontrar también en vagos.fm subido por jeimi.
